How We Created a Nonprofit Website

Nonprofit organizations need a website. For these organizations a website is the ideal place to gather donations, manage your online presence, and build support through trusted partners. There’s a lot that goes into creating a nonprofit organization website, from making your website easy to find for search engines to creating a website that’s visually appealing to potential donators.

That’s why it’s best to leave it to the experts. For over a decade, IDS has been building websites for small businesses and nonprofits which resonate with their audiences. The Cocoon’s website needed to cater to multiple audiences: survivors in need of help, potential donors/sponsors, and community members who want to learn about the organization.

Donation Pages to Gather Support

Nonprofits operate through the hard work of volunteers and donations. A key aspect of this website design was making sure that the donation opportunities were clear and straightforward. The website has a Get Involved category from which interested visitors can learn how they can help, see upcoming volunteer opportunities, and discover donation opportunities.

Through the Financial Support page, potential donors can read and select between several different ways that they can donate to The Cocoon. Easy-to-access buttons link right to the donation form, so donors can make a direct impact right away.

Upcoming events such as fundraisers are a key aspect of garnering support and community for nonprofits. The Events page lists the organization’s fundraising upcoming events and activities for community members, donors, and sponsors to take note of. The Cocoon’s social media and donation pages are also displayed in the top left corner of every page, so visitors can check out how The Cocoon is aiding the community day by day.

Do I Need a Restaurant Builder?

You may have heard of restaurant website builders. These builders vary from one-page templates to entire ordering systems.

Nonprofit Web Design to Serve the Community’s Needs

We designed The Cocoon’s website to meet the needs of its users. The site features an accessibility widget to accommodate for different auditory and visual needs, and a Close Website button to hide the page in case of a situation where the person’s screen needs to be quickly changed. The organization’s phone number is prominently displayed in the top right corner of every page so visitors can access help from anywhere on the site.

Nonprofits deserve the same, if not more exposure as businesses. If your organization needs to reach more eyes and ears, leave the website building to the experts. IDS creates custom-built websites that are designed to connect your visitors to your message and drive results through calls to action. We can redesign, brand, and manage your content to keep your nonprofit’s online presence up-to-date. Get started with your nonprofit website design today.

Results

The Cocoon’s website empowers survivors of domestic and sexual violence and demonstrates The Cocoon’s mission as a beacon of hope. IDS has continued to support The Cocoon’s online presence with blog content management, hosting, and maintenance.

Amazing Experience

Our non-profit organization has had an amazing experience working with Brittany and the whole team. Our new website they designed is engaging, up to date, and presents our organization perfectly. When we decided to change or add features, all the options and costs were clearly explained and all our questions were answered in ways that were easy to understand. We look forward to our continued work together.
